  What is VoIP

LAN

Local Area Network

A network of computers and devices (ie all connected together so they can talk to each other). A LAN is generally within the same building or range of buildings (say in a university campus). If you have all the computers in your house connected via a switch or your broadband modem for example (most come with some RJ45 ports) then you have set up a LAN, you clever thing!
